Are you wondering why the V series hasn’t been on the air the last couple of weeks?
Apparently ABC decided to only show the first 4 episodes now and to air the remaining nine episodes starting in March 2010.
On one hand it makes sense. The Winter Olympics are coming up and the holidays aren’t the best time of year for television viewing. They might find it hard to get good ratings for the next couple of months. Plus if they have 4 episodes in the bank they could theoretically start re-running them in February when Lost starts up again. Especially considering Elizabeth Mitchell has been on Lost for 52 episodes. A commercial or two for V during Lost might help the ratings for V when it starts up again.
Skeptics will say that ABC did it because ABC sucks and doesn’t support their television shows very well. Skeptics would say it allowed ABC to see if V was going to get good enough ratings and cancel the show early without spending a lot on producing another 9 episodes.
So far so good. We haven’t been the top show, but we’re going ok and it looks like we’ll be back in March

Updates on V Episode 103 A Bright New Day

Hi V fans,
ABC relased the full episode of V 103, A Bright New Day. As usual they have released the version without commentary and also a version with commentary by Steve Pearlman (Exec. Producer.)
I realized I got a couple things wrong in my commentary on the episode.
1. Ryan didn’t push the button to send a distress signal to the V. I thought it was an african america’s hand but it was just a shadow. It was indeed Cyrus who sent out the distress signal to let the V know he had a resistance member.
2. During Dr. Joshua’s work with Dale in helping restore his memory Dale says “He wasn’t the only V at the bureau.” This means he was aware there were other V impostors at the FBI. This also leads to my belief that their boss is a V impostor. Is there anyone else you think might be an impostor in the FBI?
3. In the commentary Steve Pearlman says that V handwriting is read vertically not horizontally. He says that some of the signs in the V Peace Ambassador Center actually spell out real words. I tried to pause it and read the sign but I couldn’t figure it out. Maybe one of you can?
Anyway I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s episode! It will be the last episode for a few months so I expect some juicy stuff to come out to keep us anxious and interested over the next few months… kind of like a “finale”.
